Dinsars! Dinsars!

So on March 21, we went to see Sue the T-rex.  My mother-in-law got us tickets last minute and it worked out because we planned on seeing Joshua's grandmother who thought he was in Greece(another story for another rainy day).  We didn't tell the girls where we were going(which makes the experience so much better!)...

I got off work and got home got the girls ready to go.  We stopped in Blackfoot to see his grandmother at 4, but that just happens to be the time they go to dinner at A&W every singleday...literally!  So we went to visit with Auntie Trista and play with Rykar and Rylie for a bit.

This little moment is priceless in a momma's eyes!  They are best buddies!

Then we went to the awesome Bambinos!!! for dinner. I love their food and I tried their deep fried mushrooms, yum yum!, and their lemon poppyseed gilato...can't wait to go again!

I thought this was super cool-looking!  They were really yummy with some ranch!

Then we headed to see dinsars!(dinosaurs in Chelise language).  They were so excited!  They only know dinosaurs from Land before Time, so we tried to tell them their actual names and it was really cute to hear them attempt.  They had games and bones the girls could play and touch and we got to see a really trex fossil!

This is Sue.  Isn't she gorgeous!?  And huge!

Me and the girls with Sue.  As you can see, they are all focused on smiling for the picture! =D

They were really excited about touching the bones!  They were really big!

The teeth were as big as my hand!

Chelise liked the spikes on the Spike tail.

The girls got a little dinosaurs at the end of the trip!

The girls really enjoyed their trip to the museum.  I'm glad we get to make dinsar memories like these!

Back to the grind

Well, I have been back to work for about 4 weeks now and it has been pretty good.  I love my schedule!  I get to be there when the girls wake up and I am able to still do some stuff with them when I get home.  The girls got to meet my boss too and they seem to like him. =D

I really like my job.  It is exactly what I like doing.  I am very thankful for this job.  I am truly blest. What makes it better is that I get my own office and make it the way I want it.  I love it!

I do have to admit that I do wish I could be home with my babies sometimes, just like any mom would get to do, but at any job I have had, God has used it for the good of others.  I love being used by Him!  It is amazing how things work when God is in charge, and I intend to keep it that way.

Well, needless to say, I am excited about what is about to unravel in the Ely household.  God is using us here in Pocatello for good!  Have a great day!

A utensil bouquet

We have a potluck for a couple who just moved into their new home and I got them some utensils for their kitchen.  I wanted to be creative and this is what I did.

I thought I would share the idea with you so if you need a cute idea for a bridal shower, house warming, etc...

Here is what you will need:

-Tissue paper
I used purple for the flowers, blue for the water, and green for the leaves
-Utensils
Whatever you would like to give
-Scissors
-Tape
-A "vase"(not pictured)
I used a container to hold food and stuff....

1-Wrap the top of the container in the blue so you won't see it and place it in the bottom of the container.

2- Cut the flower colored tissue paper into 2 rectangle.

3- Fold the papers in half and cut a slit big enough to fit the utensil in.

4-Slide the utensil into both slits; make them look like an x.

5-Fold up the sides to "wrap" it around the top of the utensil to look like a flower.  Tape the peices together and tape it to to utensil so it doesn't fall down.

*I folded the two sides around the top and pulled the sides in...looks good to me.  =D

6- Get a rectangle of green for the leaves. Twist the middle and tape along the handle. Tape it to the handle.

7- After making all your "flowers", wrap the bottom of the handles in more blue tissue paper and stick them in the container...Tah Dah!  Looks good!  Now smile and give yourself props...good job!

Hope you all enjoy!

Awesome weekend!

So here is my weekend so far!

Thursday, my Grandmother came down from Bozeman to spend the weekend with me.  I love her so very much and I am glad I get to spend time with her this weekend.  On Friday, we went to Westwood mall and Ross and got to spend some money together.  We both got some great buys.  She is leaving tomorrow...we will be planning a trip up there soon!

Friday night was totally awesome!  We dropped the girls off at the babysitters and Grandma with II and Joshua and I had a late night out!  We went to Walmart to get some stuff for the tournament and then we went to Dennys for a late night treat.  I know you shouldn't eat before you go to bed, but why do something today when you can put it off and do it tomorrow....=D  Needless to say we stayed up way too late!

Joshua also cut his hair.  He has been trying to grow it out for a while so he can comb it and what not...but he finally gave in and buzzed it off!  I knew it was long, but I didn't realize it was LONG!  That is a lot of hair!

Today was the first SIMS tourney!  It was freezing!!!!!  It was so cold my legs went numb!  But I had a ton of fun!  I actually played really really well!  I threw a total of 142 for the entire day. There was three girls and I got to play with them the whole time!  It was kinda bitter-sweet because I haven't played without Joshua before, but I did enjoy myself.  I got first (of course! =D).  And I totally look forward to next month's!

I was going to take pictures of the tourney but there was no point.  One, because I wasn't with Joshua, and two, because I was so cold I could barely function throwing the disc.

Tomorrow will be a great day at church.  I am teaching my class the ten commandments and the kids in my class are getting it quite good.  After service, we are having a potluck for an elderly couple who just movied into a new house.  I will post pictures of my little gift I am making them.  Have a good night y'all!  See you all in church tomorrow!

My bucket list: Riding a horse.

-Ride a horse.

So, I have always wanted to ride a horse for as long as I can remember.  I always thought it would be fun, but I was really intimidated by them because they are fast and big and could really hurt you if something went wrong.

We were in Hawaii for Eileen's wedding and Joshua had gotten my parents to watch the girls so we could have the day to ourselves.  He told me to start driving to the north side of the island and we did...I was really hesitant thinking we were going to go hiking and I really just kinda wanted to relax (he asked me to wear pants, a tank top and my shoes).  When we got to where I thought we were going, he said to keep going...I was like where are we going?  He refused to tell me.

We stopped at Chinaman's hat on the way there for a photo-op.  It was nice to walk on the beach for a bit and stretch from the car ride.

Well, we finally have gone as far as I've ever gone(at least by myself) and he says to look for a place off the road...a dirt road. I'm totally confused by now...but I finally find it and its a road to a ranch.  Why are we at a ranch?  I continue to drive to the end where I see people riding horses!  Totally stoked yet kinda scared.  I didn't want to fall off the horse while in Hawaii.  That would be way too expensive!

We get a short little lesson on how to steer them and stop them, etc (everything you need to know in two minutes) and then we're off.  We got a nice tour of the ranch and it was huge!  Beautiful as well.  My horse, Cowboy, was an older horse which I liked, but it tended to lag behind so poor Joshua had to talk to our guide.

We had gotten the couples package that included a lunch at the top of the mountain.  It included sandwiches, fresh fruit, chocolate covered macadamia nuts, and sparkling cider(which I love!).  We stepped toward the edge to look at the view and thats when he started talking all romantic about renewing our vows however I wanted as long as I was the one going down aisle to him and that he was the happiest man alive, and I'm like...why are you shaking?  and thats when he got down on one knee (again), pulled out a beautiful ring, and asked me to marry him again.  I was very touched that I cried and gave him a kiss!  I was so happy that I could barely talk on the way down the mountain!

picture of my beautiful ring that he got me!

We headed back down the mountain and I was sad that my fun horse ride was coming to an end.  I loved it so much that we might actually do it again here in the near future!  Come to find out, everyone except me knew what was happening that day and that Joshua had been planning on it since April when he bought the ring!  He had showed everyone, including my parents and my siblings, the ring before we went.  Crazy that I didn't know!

We ended the day with shopping and going to the movies.  I had such a great time and am so happy that I get to "re"marry the man of my dreams!  I love you, babe!  Thanks again for one of the best times of my life!

A picture of me on my horse, Cowboy!

Read the rest of my bucket list here.

My bucket list

So...not to be morbid or anything...but I do have a bucket list...and I think everyone should.  It gives people somehting to do before their day comes....idk.  It may just be me.  But here it is so I have somewhere to remember it:

-Ride a horse.
-Go skydiving.
-Go scubadiving.
-Learn how to surf and snow board.
-Visit every state with the love of my life.
-Visit Mt. Rushmore.
-Visit Europe.
-Go on a cruise.
-Grow a garden.
-Ride a motorcycle.
-Be on The Amazing Race.

I'm sure I'll add more, but here is the start of it.  I really hope you think about making one.  It will help you look forward to life and feel accomplished!

March 7 and 8

March 7: Something you wore:

The story behind the ring is so awesome, I will have to put it in its own blog.  I wear this almost every day and I love it!

March 8: Window

My girls have a lot of HelloKitty toys from McDs and they love to play in their doll house with them.  This one is saying hello!

Disc Golf!!!

So for "mama daddy" time, my husband and I love to go disc golfing together.  I am happy to say that disc golf season is starting early this year!  The first tournament this year will be on March 17 in Blackfoot!  What also makes me excited is that this year, there will be more women coming!  Last year, I was the only girl that played all six tourneys...  I think I inspired some of the men to talk their women into playing.  =D

I am hoping to take pics at the tourneys this year for my scrapbook of me and mine...here's to hoping!  I will keep you all posted on how I do!

I would encourage all who enjoy the outdoors to try disc golfing.  You don't have to be good at it and for the most part, it's free(you do have to pay for discs).  You get some exercise and my kids, who are 6,4, and 2, all love to go.

Joshua and I have a ton of discs and bags for us to play in the tourneys.  The disc golf discs aren't required to play on the courses.  I got my girls frisbees from the dollar store.  They have packs of discs with a long range, mid range, and putter at Sports Authority and Dick's Sporting Goods (at least in Idaho) for $15-$20.  Most courses are also stroller friendly, but I would check them out before you drag all of it out...

I hope you all try it out some day!

March 4: bedside

March photoaday: March 4- bedside

Here is my bedside table.  I love it!  The little dinosaur is Sir Kinkelfritz.  My best friend gave him to me for my birthday and I just love him!  I named him that because he has a "kink" in his neck...lol
